1. What the app stores
The current iOS app stores app data locally on your device using
Apple's local app storage.
-
Session records, timestamps, activity names, elapsed time,
recorded results, mood, and notes.
- The optional display name you enter.
-
Custom activity definitions, timer targets, weekly goals, audio
choices, and appearance settings.
-
Temporary session-recovery data used to restore an interrupted
session.
2. What the current app does not currently do
Motivational Timer does not currently require account creation for
core use and does not currently provide:
- Motivational Timer cloud sync.
-
A Motivational Timer backend that stores your session history.
- Third-party analytics or behavioral tracking.
- Advertising SDKs.
- Apple Health or HealthKit integration.
- Built-in export or social sharing for session history.
3. Notifications, alarms, and system services
If you allow notifications or alarm-related permissions, iOS may use
on-device notification and alarm services to help deliver session
cues and completion alerts. Using these services does not mean
Motivational Timer uploads your session history to a Motivational
Timer server.
Phone volume, focus modes, battery state, permissions, hardware
conditions, and operating-system behavior can affect these features.
4. Pro purchases and payments
The one-time Motivational Timer Pro purchase is handled by Apple
through the App Store. Payment information is entered with Apple,
and Motivational Timer does not receive your full payment card
details.
The app uses StoreKit entitlement information to determine whether
the lifetime Pro unlock is active and to restore that purchase on
your devices.
5. Website and support messages
If you use Send Us Feedback in the app, we receive the message you
write and any optional reply email address you provide. The app also
sends limited technical context needed to support the message: app
version, platform, locale, and submission time.
Feedback is sent through Fractelle's shared Cloudflare service to
hello@motivationaltimer.com. It is used only for app support and
improvement, is not used for advertising or tracking, and is
retained for up to 90 days. If you are temporarily offline, the
message may stay in a bounded queue on your device until delivery
succeeds.
If you email us directly, we may receive your email address, message
content, and any information you choose to include.
The website is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare. Hosting services
may process technical request data to deliver and protect the
website. This website does not include a support contact form,
advertising SDKs, third-party behavioral analytics, or marketing
cookies.
6. Backups, deletion, and recovery
Because app data is stored locally, it may also be included in
device backups such as iCloud backups or encrypted computer backups,
depending on how your Apple device is configured.
Deleting the app or erasing the device may remove local Motivational
Timer data. Motivational Timer does not currently offer
account-based recovery for deleted local data.
7. Your choices
You can choose whether to grant notification permissions, what
information to enter into the app, and whether to contact support.
If you contact us, you can ask us to delete support correspondence
when we are no longer required to keep it for legitimate business or
legal reasons.
8. Children
Motivational Timer is not intended to collect personal information
from children. If you are under 18, use the app only with parent or
guardian approval and appropriate supervision.
9. Future changes
If we add cloud sync, analytics, Apple Health integration, account
features, or another feature that changes how data is handled, this
policy should be updated before that feature ships.
